You know nothing about me or my life or my education or my understanding of racism when I see it.
Go advise someone who needs it, perhaps look at yourself and your racism if you can't see the racism inherent in the story. Please, learn a bit more about life and understanding, then, well, let's NOT talk if you haven't matured any further than you have to this point.
I don't need someone looking down their pretentious nose at me. I actually possess more understanding about life and racism and racist people than you ever will just by reading books. But you're so kind, so condescending to recommend I first read a "simple" book. You think I haven't read the books because you feel so superior to me but lady, you're not. I've read a great deal in the past 45 years, far more than have you, not to mention my life experiences among all races, creeds and socio-economic levels. Maybe someday you'll get around to broadening your outlook on life, because it takes actual life experience to truly understand that racism is found in every race, not just White, as the writer so broadly lumps together as though we're all the same. I'm frankly insulted to be thought of that way, as a definable by others "thing" that can be easily pigeon holed.
I could easily chose a group of POC that does bad things and then claim that ALL POC are just like them but I'm stupid enough to believe such idiocies. Others apparently are- the author of the story and those such as you who get angry when simple truths are pointed out.
In short, I have no need of a "reading list" of life suggestions from one as uniformed by life experience as you clearly are. I've met people such as you, those with little true understanding, and knew a few would crawl from the woodwork to attack me for being truthful but as I said, I don't care, well, other than hoping you don't have to live my life experiences just to come to an understanding of just how blind you've become.
Now, I'm not going to be as simplistic and arrogant and hateful as Marley K. and say to you "Fuck ya feelings" because I'm not a follower the cancer in the WH.
I'm a civilized human being and civilized people don't act that way.
