You clearly agree with that pastor who represses his homosexual desire for other men. I am not implying in the least that you, Marvin, are homosexual, just that I am and I, too, was once a "Christian" who repressed those desires- until I decided to stop living a lie because God doesn't like lies.

But, thanks to God and extensive Bible study, I grew up and learned that I'm not "bad" just because a church says so. In the early church (Paul's church, not the one in Jerusalem set up by Peter and James, the brother of Jesus- I don't know a lot about that one) deaconesses were accepted, not men only. God used a great many women to accomplish his plan, as per both the Old and New Testaments.
