Yes, would be the right answer, but to be fair the same applies to Americans in general and most other Western citizens. American culture is built on being self-centered and much of our culture has pemeated the rest of the world. No one believes they any responsibilty to those people, the 'Other'. And for Christians (not the ones who honestly follow Jesu's teachings), people outside their circle of beliefs are not their concern. Yet, they go to church, pay their tithes, live nice "Christian" lives while ignoring the essence of the message of the man whom they claim to follow and love, while averting their eyes from the suffering of others and still believing they're somehow "saved" by Jesus pay no attention to his Command to love your neighbor and who is your neighbor is clear in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, wherein several pious Jews "crossed the road" to avoid helping an injured man, but a lowly- in the eyes of the religious persons who'd not helped the man in need- Samaritan helped the the injured Jewish man, paid for help with his injuries and paid for him a place to stay.

Jews were not friendly with Samaritans could be seen as enemies. By casting the Samaritan, an enenmy of the Jews, as the one who did what would please God, while some wealthy Jews did the opposite, he was showing that that, enemy or friend, all people fit Jesus' definition of "neighbor".

And few churches, if any, take the time to teach truth, rather than what the official church doctrine proclaims as truth.

Jesus put "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" second in importance only to "Love God with all your mind, all your soul, and all your body".

There is a scary side to some Church/Christian groups, a side fooled into being MAGA morons and that xenophobic, nationalist, fascist ideology is too close to becoming normalized. One would think that followers of Christ would be at the forefront battling that MAGA ideology, It's evil. And Jesus is not.
