Where do you get the idea that I'm "upset"?

NATO is a defensive force, not a "first strike while you're weak" force.

And I'm aware that Germany, in particular, and much of Europe relies, for the time being, on Russian fuels.

That said, the Russian military has always been weaker than politicians have claimed and since the fall of the USSR it has only grown weaker. The lies the US government gives to the MSM are designed to get more money to arms manufacturers. I understand that and many others do but even more Americans and Europeans don't- and that's where the lies you point to exist. In the US, school children had "duck and cover" drills, as if that would help, and I assume that many European nations did the same.

NATO does not attack any nation until it attacks first. In that scenario, Russia will fall. Fast. And Putin may well resort to nuclear warheads, or at least the ones still operational.

Use common sense. If NATO worked the same way Putin does, Ukraine would not have been attacked because Russia would not have a military beyond defensive weapons NATO allowed it to have. NATO would still have had to remove Russia's nukes.

NATO is "hand off" because that's what the treaty requires of all members, including the US.

Putin is holed up in his sanctuary far from Moscow and far from the fighting he's ordered conscripts, otherwise known as "cannon fodder" to engage in.

If Russia truly had enough soldiers to it would've swept in and taken over Ukraine rather than promising high pay for mercenaries from any other nation to fight in Ukraine. Putin has multiple borders to protect and can't send as many fighters to Ukraine as are needed. And China is extremely unlikely to help Russia militarily.

Back to the "use common sense"- NATO is not an alliance that attacks other nations, unless attacked first. Why do you think Putin hasn't yet done anything that would draw NATO and the US into direct war? Because he knows he'd lose.

Putin bluffs and NATO ignores him. Which is the way it should be. But I do think NATO should've given Ukraine a no-fly zone right at the beginning. Russia's anti-aircraft batteries would've quickly been taken out- smart bombs don't miss, although Russia' do. And Russin Migs against US air force fighters would be a joke. Even Ukraine has kept Russia from completely controlling its air space using Russian-made jets.

The link you provide is about the economics of Russia and Europe and how Russia could, in theory, cut off supplies to Europe, but it won't but its largest source of income despite Putin's threats. It has nothing to do with Russia's military.
