"This is part of regular training. Police are allowed to lie."

And plant drugs, guns, other "evidence" on those arrested, more often in the arrested person's vehicle or area where they were picked up. They lie to get confessions under duress that shouldn't happen, and didn't if you ask the police.

If I had a career in which lying and blatant deceit were required, I'd find another job. Although, I never would've sought that sort of career, anyway.

I don't intend to paint all police with such a broad brush that they're all prolific liars and cheats. I believe the majority are just as honest as the average American (I guess that isn't saying much, though). There are good people and bad people in every profession, but other professions don't have the authority to ruin your life or falsely imprison you while the real perpetrator walks free to commit more crimes.
