The reason Mitt's proposal is not good is that he limits that support to only people who have jobs. How many poor women have jobs? Or are married to the child's father and he has a job?
My guess to both questions: not many.
It's Mitt's "47% pay all the taxes" thinking again. Not working (for any reason including disability, being too young to have a job or too old)?
Then tough on you, get a job and all things will be rainbows and unicorns if only every person in the country had a job.
