The KKK part is small and in a lower corner of an 11-fet by five-feet plaque, one of three that make up a larger triptych and can't be just hammered off. It should never have been included but a way must be found to remove it without destroying the entire piece. As horrible as it is, it will be removed, just as the statues in Richmond and elsewhere have been.

It is not as simple as 'taking a hammer to it'.
