The entire world of art has seen many of the greatest works in history created by gay and lesbian and queer people, often because of the bias against them and the inner turmoil of not being able to be "out".

Michelangelo is a great example, out of many great artists. And beyond the visual arts, the same will be found in musical, writing, and any other field of art.
