The earliest writings considered 'Biblical' say that there are twelve genders and "man" and "woman" are merely the bookends of those genders, not the end all and be all of creation. That doesn't, in any way, detract from the fact that we live as men and as women, just that things are not as black and white as some claim- there are, as with anything in life, shades of gray between the polar ends.
