The Church has changed its doctrine to suit those in power (the Church leaders) time and time again but shouldn't in this one instance?
And, no, the Church of which you speak is not considered an honest institution by anyone other than those brainwashed by a false narrative that it follows Jesus and his teachings while twisting the message Jesus taught to suit its own preferences. TAnd "gay activists want to shut down churches"? Mind providing proof of that claim? There does need to be tolerance on both sides so just where is said tolerance on the Church's side? Paul's 'Church', aka, the 'Christian' church makes no such allowances for anyone not willing to follow its dictates and there iare reasons to supect Paul was gay. Jewish men were expected to marry and have children, but Paul never married. He did, however, like to sppend his time 'teaching' young men. No, that does not 'prove' he was gay but it is strong, circumstantial evidence.
