Thanks for sharing this story about a great, but often under-appreciated, poet and singer. I like Buckley's and K,D. Lang's versions (and Cohen's, of course) but my favorite remains Bon Jovi's rendition. IHe puts more emotion into the words, imho, but to each his own. They're all great and won't soon be forgotten. Nor will Cohen and his masterful words.
