“Such massive hypocrisy from the generation that had everything handed to them on a plate.”

If I’d been born 7 days later than I was, I’d be considered a “millennial” so I can fairly be called that rather than “boomer”.

I didn’t have everything “handed to me on a plate” and most people of my age didn’t. The 1960s, 70s, and 80s were not exactly easy for any of us, which is why I see the “massive hypocrisy” of children who grew up in the 80s and 90s, who were often handed everything with no real responsibly instilled in them. Are you, perhaps, one of those people? I’ve had to work hard for anything I’ve received and generalizing by calling me a “boomer” is just silly and inaccurate. I would, however, say that about those who came of age in the 1950s when good-paying jobs were plentiful and the top marginal tax rate was 90%, which I believe is what millennials seem to want. So do I. But insults, lies and division won’t get us any closer to those goals and I despair that division may make it impossible to ever reach that stage of prosperity again.
