Some of us prefer to not engage in pagan i.e. church festivals. I cannot think of a single religious festival that didn't begin until taken by a Church to use (I'm not too familiar with Jewish 'festivals' so cannot include those without learning more- although the

Jewish myths in the OT didn't begin with the ancient Hebrews.) Most are from the Eqyptians or Sumerians or Greeks, or any of many ancient civilizations.
