So, you're saying that the deaconesses in the early church should have acted more "manly". That is a "strange jump in reasoning".

Just because an opinion is "popular" doesn't make it right. Right?

BTW, what is your definition of "acting like a man" and of "acting like a woman"? From what Paul wrote, he wasn't very "manly" under the description used by that Pastor (he isn't deserving of that title, though) has written. That, too, is found in the New Testament, i.e. "Christian scripture" as decided upon in the fifth century after being decided upon in the first century, the second century, the fourth century, and again in the 16th century.
