So, mostly asphalt. And with more refining, it's great for roofing. And even gasoline- just use a small amount, say, four tons of tar sands, dilute it with other chemicals, use two barrels of clean water and get a total of one barrel of oil that can be refined again and get forty-two gallons of gasoline. The dirtiest way to get enough gas to fill up a pickup truck. Who ever said we need "cleaner" fuel, anyway? And fresh water- we're awash in it, no reason not to use and poison more.
MMT- what I know of it is largely based on my nephew's belief in it as the logical future of money. He's a high-level investment advisor. I defer to him but already understood that all money is fiat money anyway. That's obvious. What's the difference between MMT and fiat money? It isn't important enough to me to research it so I won't. But all money is fiat money and that isn't going to change, short of a worldwide economic collapse. As in, every man to himself collapse. Like the apocalypse movies collapse. It's only backed by faith, belief that somebody, somewhere, thinks it's worth something.
Thanks for the detailed reply and links. I'll give you the benefit of doubt and assume they might not be from fossil fuel backed sites.
You show a clear bias against what you term the "Left", thus creating an "Other". Putting labels on a group of people isn't good if anyone wants a civilized society. Civilization doesn't magically appear like fairy dust.
