Sadly, I don’t have good company as a good reader since the writing group I helped start ended because of a few members moving away or having children, etc. I have, however, written 15 stories over a span of about 10 years about this boy and want to reformat it as a novel. But every story has to be rewritten to eliminate duplicate information and correct an outrageous number of grammatical errors. To date, I’ve rewritten 7, including the one you’ve read. If you want to read all of them, they’re included in a collection named “Finding Roland McCray” at Smashwords for $0.99 and on Amazon for $2.99 (the lowest price Amazon allows). You might be pleased with where Roland ends up at age 18

This is the Smashwords link- for $0.99 it’s not a bad deal :)

The first 10 are in another collection that’s certainly suitable for younger (pre-teen) readers.

“Tunnels in the Briar Patch”

I’m not going to update those books until I have every story revised properly so, please be patient with numerous grammatical errors and duplicated information if you read the current versions.

I also have another collection of short stories, also in need of revision, which has three of the “Roland” stories along with 7 unrelated short stories and poetry. “Falling Water”.

All are $0.99 each and available in ePub, pdf, .doc format and another format that Smashwords converts them to, but I don’t recall, without checking again, the name of that format.

They’ve all received great reviews on Amazon, only two of which were written by people I know, and those people would not leave a good review just because they know me.

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement and always appreciate comments and criticisms; it’s the best way to learn. :)
