Remember, though, Jesus was a Jewish rabbi; he taught as a Jew and worshipped as a Jew. Prayer was a part of that life. And I don't recall anything about Jesus praying for 'things' or his own good health, etc.

I pray daily, as a way to thank God for life and being given yet another day. As a way to show I'm grateful, even though I know He already knows. Frankly, I deeply believe God exists, but I have no idea what God is and as long as I'm in this material world I'll probably never be able to grasp what God is. That doesn't stop me from believing, though.
