Read the 'Tao de Ching', the 'Book of Tao' . Taoism is not a religion, it's a way of seeing the world around you in a new light, seeing how everything in creation flows the same, is the Tao, so I guess it could be a philosophy.

If anyone that read this hasn't yet read The Book of Tao (pronounced "Dow") I highly recommend it. It isn't a long book but is fascinating to read. It describes how everything is connected and everything flows in the same way. In my Senior year at college, my term paper explained how something as complex as a jet plane and its multitude of parts, down to the smallest screw, all followed the flow of the Tao.
