Question for you, Jodie: is this the same ~ as the Hindu concept of the- this- universe just being one of many in a never-ending cycle, measured in Kalpas, long periods of time? The universe begins as a small point, grows, reaches a 'tipping' point, then slowly retreats to a new small point only to birth a new universe.

If it is then this universe is nearing its tipping point (as measured by kalpas) where it will begin to 'retreat' to a point, then begin a new universe. Kind of a repeating Big Bang.
