Pray to and ask God, not some statue. The Roman Catholic Church has twisted every saying to suit its own purpose- to gain power and wealth.

God is One and there shall be none put before him or made his equal. And that's exactly what worshipping statues does- places another as God's equal.

Praying to inanimate objects such as statues of Mary is the exact thing the Israelites did by building and worshipping- praying to- the Golden Calf.
