Quark- a word from Alice in Wonderland
Is applied to subatomic particles
That align in a specific manner, a pattern
That forms the nuclei of all atoms.

And even those tiny quarks have smaller parts
With names such as Charm and Strange
To reflect their uncanny properties.

Those smallest particles have a fleeting life, though
More potential than substance
Like sparks in the dark, they have no inherent existence.

They raise spontaneously, seemingly at random.

Yet, they flash in and out of existence as needed
From the field of energy that underlies all creation
There is nothing random about it.

Is it not possible that all of creation
That life itself is a series of patterns
Drawn from that same energy matrix,

That field of potential?
