Not really. Nor is it now. Corporate-owned politicians in Washington have too much infighting to ever take control of the economy. The Republican's "fifty-year plan", what Hillary got in trouble in 1992 for calling it a "grand, rightwing conspiracy" is slowly coming to fruition. The 2024 Presidential election will be a deciding factor in whether it's ever attained, or not.
