Jung wrote of universal archetypes he found in all dreams throughout all cultures and times and explained what he saw them as meaning, just as Joseph Campbell has done.

No one is perfect but that doesn't mean they should be outright rejected dimply because you disagree. Jung and Campbell's point was to help people understand their own dreams, not to tell anyone exactly what they mean for any individual.
