Jesus didn't die to save anyone, let alone every person alive at the time, before he lived or today. That's a nice little fairy tale the Church likes to preach along with the Greek concepts of the reward of Heaven and eternal punishment in Hell.

God stated many times through the Prophets that each person is responsible for his or her own salvation and that no one else can do that for any other person. And who am I to defy God?

in fact, not a single person alive now or who lived in the past has the right to defy God's Command to love God and love your neighbor as yourself.
