I've read the same but also can't recall which southern state. Republicans in Washington and most of SCOTUS want a return to the Gilded Age of low taxes, no regulations, and child labor. But that state wants a return to the society we had in the first several decades as a nation when state legislatures and governors ("men of good character") decide who will lead our nation. Few of our modern politicians good ever be accused of being "men of good character".
