I've often wondered about Paul's true motives in building his Church. It's hard to believe that a man who enjoyed, relished in, tracking down and persecuting followers of the Jesus who wandered and taught people to love God and neighbor, to suddenly decide to become a leader of those same people. Unless it was for the power and prestige he saw available by using those Jews and expanding to all Gentiles, as well.
Kind of a 'Joel Osteen' (sp.?) thing to do but without the private jets and mansions, just the prestige?
Great story, and truly informative, thanks for sharing.
