It would be an honest mistake. I watched that episode, late at night, of course, and doubt I heard every word of it. But I haven't read or heard anyone else altering his words to suit their agenda nor do I ever twist or misquote anyone's words. I said what I took it to mean. I still have no desire to "cancel" anyone's freedom to speak what they choose, no matter how poor in taste I find it, and if "cancel culture" means to "smear" someone's character, I understand why it, and CRT, have become buzzwords for politicians of a certain political party, then it isn't for me. I see no humor in joking about murders, mass killings, or deliberately harming people, regardless of whom they are- or were- but, if some people do it's not for me to question. If I dislike Chappelle's comedy, I don't have to watch it. But I would never deny the right of schadenfreude to anyone else.

Thanks for your reply.
