It takes 67 votes to change a Senate rule or 50 if the Senate President agrees. Harris, as Senate President, would not allow a rule change.

I don't know how that change would affect future Senates, though.

Either way, the change would allow a lot of House Bills to get a vote and real changes could be made in just a few years which could well mean Dem control of the Senate in 2022. People are happy when good things happen; let's make them happy and the rich pay higher (fairer) taxes and get some form of universal healthcare.

I hope Harris does that. As long as Mitch controls the Senate, nothing will get done.
