Isn't it rare, however, to to begin a sentence with "However"?

However, using only a comma before “however” in the middle of that sentence instead of a semicolon before and a comma after — as in the “but” version and as though “however” was also being used as a conjunction — wouldn’t work as well. Here’s what you would get: “He likes to eat salad, however he loves sushi.”
