I'm not the one fooled because, unlike you, I don't fall for bs. Musk is a hell of a businessman (so far, at least- his innate evil hasn't yet cost him that) but no he is NOT and never has been the "lead designer at SpaceX. You probably think he invented Tesla cars, too. Tom Mueller has been his rocket designer since day one and still is (unless Elon tweet-fired him over the weekend).

Read here about how he founded- rather how he funded with $100 million- SpaceX- I've added a few key excerpts but if you don't want to lose your fantasy world outlook, I'd recommend you not read too much about Elon; facts upset people like you.

"Musk invested in a pair of companies, electric-car developer Tesla Motors and the solar-power outfit SolarCity, to help foster alternative-energy research. That left space exploration—"in particular the extension of life beyond Earth," he says —as the last item on the list."

"In late 2001, [rocket engineer]Tom Mueller was sacrificing his nights and weekends to build a liquid-fuel rocket engine in his garage... he built his own engines, attached them to airframes and launched them in the Mojave Desert with fellow enthusiasts in the Reaction Research Society, RRS...

So he [Musk] searched the ranks of the RRS for engineers who could achieve results on a budget and found a strong candidate for propulsion chief in Mueller...

...In October 2003 Mueller and his engineers sat in the SpaceX control bunker in Texas and fired up a Merlin on the test stand..."

Do a little research from non-Musk-loving sources before you attack others for what you're guilty of- otherwise you just bleat out your stupidity.
