I'm glad to see some attention paid to the importance of dreams. It's a field of study on its own but most people don't think of it that way.

I'm not a psychologist and have absolutely no formal training but have read some of Freud's work, which wasn't really interesting to me but then I read much of Jung's work on dreams. Freud seemed to be hung up on sexual meanings behind dreams while Jung seemed (to me, at least) to see dream elements as representative of waking life. If I understood correctly (as I said, I have no formal training in psychology) Jung's dream studies then every element in your dream represents something in your "real" waking life.

If you dream about a car, your car, that car represents your path, the way you live your life, your direction. Getting a new car would relate to a change in your life's direction. Earth, dirt pushing up against your car would mean that your not living the way you should and the dream is a warning. If your car is falling apart then the way you're living your life is changing, but not in a good way, and you need to change the way you live your life.

Your house is your body. If it's ragged or pieces are falling off then you are, or will be, experiencing poor health. If there are men working to repair your house/body then your health will improve. If there is someone in the attic, that would be your version of God. If the lawn in front of your house suddenly springs green with new grass then you have a new season ahead. That's an encouraging dream.

If your house collapses to the ground that would be a death dream, although death could mean many things, the end of a relationship being one example, a radical change in your life such as children leaving for college or many other things, rarely actual bodily death.

A tree represents mortality, the fact that all living things ultimately die. It the tree you see in your dream is young and healthy and growing that would relate to your waking life, in that you have many years ahead of you. If the tree is full grown and a mature age then you are, too. If it's healthy then you will be healthy. If the tree is sickly, losing branches and dying, then you may be but remember that your house can be repaired. If you're aware you're dreaming, you can affect the outcome in your dreams and that will sometimes affect your waking life as well.
