I like the way you link this issue to the true tenets of Christianity. Jesus never turned his back on anyone, including "gentiles". He said the main Commandment was to love God and love neighbor as self because if you don't love your neighbor, you don't and can't love God. There are far too many faux "Christians", people whom Jesus would turn his back on, as he would anyone who lead others astray from their path to knowing God.
