I grew up in Petersburg, Va., surrounded by reminders of the Civil War and realized when I was still a child that the 'confederates ' ' were traitors to the Union, aka, the U.S. so, you're not alone in that assessment. And the morons who proudly display the battle flag of the Northern Virginia Army are, frankly, racists.
