I fully agree with the gist of your argument and am glad to see more people taking the dangers we face seriously. I consider myself, 62 next week, to fit your description of yourself, although I have fired a weapon(s). I grew up on a farm and used shotguns and rifles. I also had a handgun my brother gave me when I was around 20 years old. But I haven't owned or fired a gun in the past 40 years and will not have one in my home. For any reason, including self-defense. I have no issue with whatever others want to own or use but I'm probably being naive when I say I believe that what I put out into the world is what I attract back to me. Guns are negative in my view, and I don't want to espouse negativity. I fully agree with fighting for survival when necessary but if it's my time to go, then it's my time.

I also believe that by not putting out negativity I, tentatively, at least, stand on moral ground, high ground and that whichever side (the right, in this case) gives up the high ground loses. I'll continue to do everything else I can in the fight, but I won't have a weapon for self-defense in my home- and pray a Nazi-type doesn't come in with his.

Thanks for sharing, Camille, I'll be watching for more of your thoughts.
