I agree with you, but it must be kept in mind that many Russians have been brainwashed by the Kremlin to believe that Ukraine is run by Nazis and attacked poor, defenseless Russia.

The same is done in this country only our version of the Kremlin propagandists is Fox New, the ONA, QAnon, Trumpists, etc. Many Russians now hate Ukrainians with the same vitriol they hated the actual Nazis who attacked Russia in WWII.
