Hi David,

God does exist. Just not on the plane of existence in which we live. God did not just create all that is and then control everything that happens on this plane. That's the whole point of free will and that's why the myth of Satan, el Shaytan, exists. To show us that we each can choose to be good or to be evil, and since many choose to be evil the world suffers. We have free will and thus the chance to choose good over evil or evil over good. Many choose to be good, but that still doesn't outweigh the actions of those who choose to be evil. It's the free will to choose our actions in this life that makes us human. Good or bad is up to each one of us. And no thing (not referring to people) is either good nor bad, in and of itself, except thinking makes it so. I'm not Hindi and don't believe in multiple reincarnations as insects, animals, etc. but I do believe we are given multiple lives as humans, since humans have the choice, free will, in how they live their lives and that in each life we're here to learn something different. Sort of a school for the soul, a way to become closer to being/choosing good.
