Hello Michele, let me add my '2-cents' worth. Every doctor I see on a regular basis- I have epilepsy and a stroke disorder and three years ago, cancer, so I see 4 doctors on a regular basis- agree that marijuana has legitimate medical uses and each of them has told me they would write me a prescription but, in Virginia that isn't yet an option. I obtain it illegally. It helps with preventing seizures, with the constant upset stomach that is a result of the anti-seizure meds I take, helps me sleep better and a few studies have shown it helps with COVID symptoms.

To each his (her) own but Marijuana isn't addictive and far less dangerous than THC. I don't drink, not even a glass of champagne to ring in the New Year and have no desire to start drinking again- I did drink many years ago but found it caused me too many problems such as- driving safely. I couldn't do that after even a few milk drinks but smoking the herb simply makes me cautious when driving, without the side effects of alcohol.

If a glass of wine is your thing, then great for you and I would never question anyone else's choices in life but- at 62 years old, I'll continue with what works for me, both socially and medically. I've tried edibles but do not like that the 'buzz' seems to go on and on (and on) because, like you I like to be in control of my own mind and with smoking weed, that's never been an issue. The "Reefer Madness" of the 1930s was nothing more than a campaign financed by big oil because hemp oil can be used in place of gasoline. It had no basis in science or reality.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
