Great idea, except that enough trees can't be planted to solve the CO2 problem. And they, too, deteriorate over time and release the captured CO2.

I'm all for trees and reforestation but many plants other than trees can do the job faster.

Algae grown in tanks would be one and the dead algae can be mixed in with livestock feed.

It wouldn't have the beauty or majesty of a tree but if it works- plant trees to have their cooling effect, especially in cities of asphalt.
