For me, ‘going with the flow’ means accepting your first impression of a person you meet as being more valid than second thoughts about that person (in general, that seems to be true- I was an HR manager for a multi-million-dollar company and interviewed every person hired- those whom I recommended not to hire but were hired anyway invariably turned out to be poor hiring decision regardless of that person’s “qualification” on paper or type of Degree, while those who may have had lower ‘qualifications or level of higher education whom I recommended anyway invariably become some of the best hires.
That, and paying attention to gut hunches. The universe will never steer anyone away from what is best for that person, if said person pays attention but if said person chooses to ignore what the universe is trying to get across, that person suffers unduly without ever knowing why.
The book, “Tao de Ching” is difficult to understand yet easy to understand, as well. It discusses how to ‘go with the flow’ since that’s how everything in physical reality works. Io follow the Tao is to simply ‘flow’ with the laws of nature. One’s “aspirations” have nothing to do with what is best for a person and often keeps that person from ever being happy or content with life. One can insist their life to be a certain way and will, indeed, get what they insist upon but still never be happy with their lives because they’re missing their true purpose in life, their reason for being.
Thank you for your reply.
