Except Elon didn't design rockets or Tesla EVs. He was born rich and invested early in Tesla, got massive taxpayer support but was an expert salesman- his greatest strength. And his employees at Twitter are leaving like a flock of birds (pun intentional).

SpaceX- a solution to a need and done well. With $6 billion+ in taxpayer funds but that was a sound investment for taxpayers.

Elon seems to despise free speech, despite his claims. He should perhaps have been content with the emeralds in his pocket, but I'll admit, he has done a few worthwhile things. Buying Twitter, however, was not one of them.
