Democrats did control the House but Republicans controlled the Senate so no matter what the House passed it had to get passed in the Senate but the Senator who proudly proclaims himself the “Grim Reaper” refused to let anything from the Democrat-controlled House even get a floor vote, so Trump did have control of Congress. It’s as simple as that. Trump, through his lackey McConnell, controlled what would pass the Senate and what wouldn’t. That IS control of Congress, no matter how many Democrats were in the House. I fail to see why you can’t understand that. And the one-time payment reduced to $1,400 rather than $2,000? That and the reduced UE aid and no $15 an hour minimum wage increase was all that would get through the Senate and that had to be done through a reconciliation procedure because not a single Republican would vote for even those lowered amounts, and two Democratic Senators are simply Republican-lite and wouldn’t support higher UE benefits or any of the bill if the minimum wage increase was in it. So, no, “sweetheart”, Biden does not have control of the Senate, as you claim. 50–50 is only control when all 50 Democrats support a bill and the VP breaks the tie. Since all 50 Democrats didn’t support the bill unless major changes were made to it, then the VP had no role to play.
Pelosi did refuse, throughout the summer and finally, on October 10,2020, outright the Republican offer for more stimulus because much of the benefits intended for small businesses went to big, profitable companies because there were no restrictions on that money and she refused to let Republicans further enrich their already rich friends (donors). But if you like the government giving out huge sums of taxpayer money to big, profitable businesses and wealthy donors rather than place restrictions that send that money to those who need it in order to survive and stay in business then that shows where your priorities lie. And it isn’t with the majority of those suffering.

As for Biden and Democrats not wanting Trump and Republicans not getting credit, you have that completely reversed. Republicans have been doing that to Democrats for decades. As in the Republicans who met in 2008 and vowed to make Obama a one-term President then blackmailed (for lack of a more apt term) Obama into dropping the Public option from the ACA, and the way Republican leadership is acting in Washington, now. A minority of people are controlling a much larger majority of Americans, which is not the way it is supposed to be.
