Bernie is pushing for some good initiative ideas and has been for quite a while and I applaud him for that. But the idea of “universal healthcare” isn’t a new idea; he just renamed it Medicare for All. Teddy Roosevelt wanted universal healthcare in the so-called “gilded age” when oil and railroad barons used their vast wealth to control politics (sounds kind of like today) so it was rejected by the bought and paid for Congress, just as M4A would be today. The “Public Option” is much more likely to pass but that wasn’t Bernie’s idea (I think), I first heard about it when Obama proposed the ACA with a public option. But #MoscowMitch (not called that then but just as evil) wouldn’t let the Senate vote on it unless the public option was removed; he hated Obama with a passion.

If Bernie did propose the public option idea and Obama saw it as a good idea and used it, then I apologize for dissing Bernie but I still don’t want him to be the nominee.
