As much as I dislike organized religion, I will give Islam credit for integrating science into religion. It was considered studies of Allah's (The God) image in this world and considered worthy of intense study.

While the "Christian" world was persecuting and killing anyone who pursued anything scientific, the Muslim world made scientific advances well ahead of the Western world.

I am not, however, a Muslim or a Christian nor a follower of any organized religion. And the "Church" (Christian) always has been pagan, still is, and a big money maker for its leaders or televangelists...
