And Trump had the Senate to approve that. Biden doesn’t. He proposed and Democrats put a $2,000 one-time payment and $400 a week in UE payments. The Republicans came back with less than a third of that and even fought to cancel that $600 payment in December as “unneeded”. And your savior also dramatically cut funding to help the poor, especially by reducing the amount of and tightening who could get food to eat. And it took the Republican-controlled House and Senate until the final month of the year to allow that $600 to go through after spending all last summer and fall claiming it wasn’t needed because “the economy is booming!”. The stock market is not the economy. If it was booming then it wasn’t in this country. People were too busy dying of COVID or caring for those who were sick, in large part DUE to Trump’s actions and inactions and lies. Although, I suppose some sectors were booming, such as the 56 new billionaires COVID provided. I’m sure they’re just thrilled with the money taken from low earners and given to them. After all, taking food from the children is a great way to improve peoples lives. I mean, it’s as easy as taking candy from a baby and I’m sure you’re all in on that and having people go hungry, right?

Give it a try sometime and let’s see how long you last with not having enough to eat or to feed your children. That might, if you have any compassion at all, change your mind. Might.

Biden has half the Senators fighting to approve anything designed to help people who are suffering NOW. But it was just fine when they cut taxes on the rich and big businesses to the tune of, oh, that’s right, $1.9 trillion! See? We can pay attention to what’s happening in Washington, but apparently, you can’t.

Not a single Republican in the House or Senate voted for anything to go to those who actually need it. See? We can use facts, too. Something your side pays no attention to at all. See? It’s math. The math of counting Congressmen and Senators making the decisions to fight for their donors and in fear of Trump. It’s that horrible value of “responsibility” to one’s neighbor and we can’t have that, it might slow the rate at which the rich are getting richer and everyone else getting poorer.

Biden and the Democrats in Congress tried to get more but guess who forced them to accept less? Oh, that was the Republicans in Congress. It’s the responsibility to help those in need, something clearly lacking among Republicans in Washington and in political office in most states (you might call them “red” states). See? It’s the math of selfishness, and greed, and seeking to get and hold power, no matter who might be hurt. If you think it all comes down to money, you’re right. Money for those who don’t need it coming from those who do.

See?
