And that is the key. The one thing the union leader complained of Biden not doing on Day 1 was not including his jobs plan at the same time he spoke of clean energy. Of course people fear losing their livelihoods; who wouldn't? But new jobs in clean energy sectors that pay better than their current, largely dangerous, jobs would've taken a lot of sting out of Biden's plans.

Workers in solar and wind energy already far outnumber those in the coal industry and pay better . The same will happen to the oil and natural gas industries over time.

But people have to earn a living during the transition, which is Biden's goal and plan- new jobs in the clean energy sector. A big drawback is the lobbying money that greases (pun intended) politicians hands needs to be dealt with as the changeover happens.
