Tesla only rented hotel or boarding rooms with the number three or a multiple (333 was a favorite). He also did every daily thing three times: turn off the stove- check three times, lock the door- check three times and so on. I don't consider myself fixated on that number, but I always use its multiples in daily life- when a number is called for. When a story deserves 'claps' I give them in multiples of threes (except for 50 claps). And I check everything three times before I leave home. I think that's simply a wise, if superstitious, practice.

Perhaps I am a bit fanatical about it...
