Among so many flaws- I’ve wondered, a time or two, if Paul’s “affliction” he wrote about was that he was being used by evil, or at least, unclean spirits to lead people away from the true Jesus and his teachings and replace him with a pagan Jesus, hence the adopting of so many pagan beliefs and celebration days.

Christmas as his day of birth- not true. That was a hugely popular celebration of Dionysius- wine, women, and partying (hardly Christian or Godly). Easter- another widely held celebration of the return of spring. The ‘virgin birth’- many, many ‘gods’ were said to be of virgin birth, and so many others.

I’m aware some writers on Medium will attack me because my views don’t dovetail with what they’ve been taught in Paul’s Church, but I also believe that Jesus said, “The world will hate you because of me (his teachings). But I prefer to seek God rather than praise from my fellow man by going to church and pretending to believe the things others do- I’d be living a lie and refuse to do that because the organized religion known as “Christianity” is a “stumbling block” placed to lead seekers of God away from the path Jesus taught.
