A possibility that may occur sooner is hackers shutting down various electrical grids. There are "key" points in regional electrical grids that can take down the north east, west coast and multiple other regional grids and most are hacked multiple times a day. If the north east grid goes down, so do financial transactions 1930s-style bank runs come to mind), stock trading, shipping and air travel in the entire part of the national that is supplied by said electrical grid. The government has the responsibility to create and implement cybersecurity measures to prevent that.

But, I wouldn't count of our current government to take any threat seriously other than those that threaten each politician's wealth and, more importantly, power.

It's past time Americans are informed, daily, of how climate is and will affect our daily lives, in a bad way.
