He has a stutter- a fact of birth, not dementia.

He has “senior moments” and can’t always recall, on the spur of the moment, the word he wants to use or confuses names of people or places. Not dementia, unless the vast majority of people, including many young people, suffer from dementia, as well.

I can safely assume that you, too, have on occasion referred to someone by the wrong name or haven’t been able to recall a word that’s “on the tip of your tongue”.

Unless you’re different, better than the rest of us. Are you that “perfect” one?
